What’s the difference between OxyCodone and Roxycodone? What are common side effects of Roxycodone?
ROXICODONE is a brand of OXYCODONE which is a narcotic, ‘derived’ from MORPHINE.
OXYCODONE is marketed by multiple corporations.
OXYCONTIN is a long release brand of OXYCODONE.by Purdue Pharma. Purdue Pharma has been sued by the FDA and paid a large fine for claiming the medication was not addictive, despite having evidence to the contrary, derived from clinical testing.
OXYCODONE is broken down by the liver by the enzyme called: CYP3A4.
Other substances which cause a change in this enzyme activity may lead to changes in oxycodone plasma concentrations.
These following substance have been shown to alter the effect of CYP34A: , erythromycin, azole-antifungal agents, and protease inhibitors (ritonavir), may change plasma concentrations of oxycodone and prolong its effects.
Please contact your physician should you have any questions. Please do not alter the dosage and only take as directed.
