I have a question about anti-oxidants. How do you increase the level of it. Some say Green Tea and such herbal remedies help, and others say eat fiber. What is the best way to increase the anti-oxidation levels in ones body.
Recent studies have actually recommenced against using antioxidant pills, natural or prescribed. It is difficult to ascertain how much antioxidant an individual needs plus when the antioxidant has nullified all the free radicals, the antioxidant then becomes a ‘free radical’ and can cause more damage to the DNA.
Flatworms given antioxidants tend to die sooner than those not given antioxidants.
One recent study has shown some benefit of green tea, however, the results need to be reproduced prior to recommending it for every one.
In fact none of the vitamins have shown any benefit rather they seem to progress the rate at which tumors increase in size and might hasten death.
