I recently tapered off Fentanyl because I was losing weight and having bad side effects. I’ve been completely off for 3 days but now I can’t stand the pain in my bones at night (completely different from RSD pain). How long will this last?
Fentanyl is a narcotic, synthetic morphine in patch form. One patch will deliver the stated amount of narcotic for up to 3 days. Nighttime pain, especially due to reflex sympathetic dystrophy, can be quite painful. Perhaps another medication might help decrease or stop your bone pain. You also need to be checked to make sure your pain is not being caused by some other disease process. Talk to your doctor immediately and explain your symptoms.
